Trams on their way - consultation

Labour Mayor of West Yorkshire Tracy Brabin is progressing plans to bring trams to our region. She's aiming for work to start in 2028. The latest round of consultation is on the proposed first routes to be built. See the routes and share your thoughts.

Bringing trams to West Yorkshire will:

  • Reduce journey times

  • Cut down congestion

  • Allow people to travel in a more sustainable way

  • Encourage businesses to invest in our region - boosting economic growth and creating jobs

Along with bringing buses into public control over the next two years, and the successful roll out of the electric hire 'Beryl' bikes, we're excited about the future of transport in Leeds.
