This week saw the return of Breeze to Weetwood! It was a fantastic community fun day, with lots of inflatables, bouncy slides and castles, stalls and food!
Hundreds of local residents attended, and had a great time. We even had a visit from the Lord Mayor of Leeds, Cllr Al Garthwaite. Even the rain held off for us!
Providing activities for children, young people and families is a top priority for us as Westwood councillors.
Also at Breeze was the LS16 Community Uniform Exchange, giving out free pre loved school uniform ready for back to school in September. We helped on the stall, and throughout the day over 400 pieces of uniform were given out to parents free of charge.
We'd like to pass on huge thanks to Sara Brown, who does an amazing job running the uniform exchange, making sure children in Weetwood have the uniform they need for school each term.
