St Paul's Warm Welcome

Improving quality of life and tackling the cost of living should be two major priorities for any local councillors.

St Paul's Church in Ireland Wood makes this mission much easier for us. At Easter weekend they had yet enough really successful fun day, these are hugely valued by the local community and over 250 people attended. We helped out as we always do - Jools was on the craft tables, Izaak was on bouncy castle duty, and Emma was at the gate welcoming attendees.

But did you know St Paul's also has a community event every Monday evening? From 5-6.45pm you can turn up and there is:

  • A lovely hot meal, free

  • Games and sports for the kids

  • A chance to chat with neighbours, youth workers

We often attend to help with washing up and any casework issues!

Supporting this work is top of the agenda for us. We've helped arrange thousands of pounds in funding to refurbish the kitchen, enabling meals to be cooked on site.
