We've been working with local schools and residents to figure out where it feels unsafe to cross the road, and then campaigning for improvements in those places.
On Sunday 11th August the new pedestrian crossing on Otley Old Road (near Gustos) is being installed. We campaigned for this earlier in the year, thank you to everyone who signed our petition.
A number of other pedestrian crossings, including the one by Holy Name School, are also getting upgraded so that they are more visible. In some cases they will be 'raised' into speed humps, or the beacons will be made brighter. This is because of worrying feedback that drivers are ignoring or not noticing the crossings and driving straight over them.
