Beryl Bikes update


You've probably seen the electric bikes for hire around Leeds, known as 'Beryl Bikes'.


The latest figures show that between September and January there were 12,000 journeys on these bikes, covering 31,000km.


That's a promising sign, given it's over the winter with only half the sites rolled out through that period (mainly in the city centre). In our area a docking site has just been set up on the Headingley campus of Leeds Beckett, and more sites will be rolled out in the ward in the coming weeks.


We're pleased that they have been a success so far. Please do give them a go! We think it's important that local people have more transport choices. Here are some more local cycling facts from January:
